Stationary

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved paper goods. Stickers, stationary, pens and pencils, notebooks, cards, envelopes – you name it, I it. I loved wandering through art & office supply stores, gazing at the sheaves of stationary paper organized by color, the giant display of pens, the rolls and rolls of stickers and the tidy stacks of notebooks; and I still love the smell of fresh magazines and notebooks. The range of paper goods from Present & Correct has me feeling all nostalgic for those after-school stationary store runs. Have a look:

Picture 4I love the ice cream parlor colors and the effort P&C puts into every last detail, including the packaging. In their shop, you will also find a selection of cute vintage office supplies and gorgeous stamps, as well as unique children’s books. The books (both vintage and new) look so yummy I want to order them all even though I don’t have children yet! Did I mention I also love the smell of old books? Oh, yes. I wish P&C had a brick-and-mortar shop where I could be surrounded by stacks and stacks of gorgeous paper and books :)

I admit it: I am terrible at remembering birthdays and other special events. No matter how much advance notice I have, somehow I am always taken completely by surprise at the last moment. But this year will be different! It’s already June, you say? No matter! I am going to solve this gift and card-giving issue of mine once and for all. I’ve decided that preparation is key. As in, having an assortment of cards, wrapping papers, ribbons and gift tags on hand for any occasion that comes my way. And a very fine place to start would be with Sarah Marie.

I was drawn in by the bold, graphic patterns, and then was delighted to learn that Sarah Marie’s wrapping papers and cards are tree-free and printed with soy-based ink. And, owner Sarah donates 5% of profits to Kiva.org, a micro-lending website that supports entrepreneurs around the world. How awesome is that?

I am really smitten with that blue and white wrapping paper because it reminds me of Mediterranean tile work. Hm, and those green leaf-print cards would make really cute party invites. Which ones do you like? And if you have any tips on keeping track of birthdays, please fill me in – I wasn’t joking! :)
