Well hello there, friends of Lolalina. I’m Katie Stephenson of the Art Wall blog and website, filling in for Laura while she’s with bebe’. I decided to pitch in and try my hand at a Sweet Obsessions Friday post for you this week. It probably won’t be quite as pretty as Laura’s, but it will be pretty, just the same–I promise. So, without further ado, here’s my top 7:

1) I’ve heard about this 14-day chip free nail polish here and there lately. I think it’s time I invest in some, at $28.00/bottle plus shipping, it’s a bit of an investment.

2) I think Chicago-based Kara Mann is my favorite interior designer. This sunroom from her portfolio is my favorite.

3) My biggest problem with photography is white-balance. This lens could (and should) solve all my problems.

4) I think this is the prettiest map I have ever seen. I’d love to plan a nursery around this piece alone.

5) I’ve been searching everywhere for some birds to hang in my next art wall. I think these black ones from Jayson Home and Garden would look splendid alongside black framed pieces on a light colored wall.

6) I’m not really the scrap-booking type. It’s too much work and I like to do things right or not at all. This Once-A-Year-Book from Laikonik would take the pressure off. Just create one page per year for your child’s first 18 years.
7)
These little cabins are made by hand at a local junior college near my home in Madison, Wisconsin. They could use a touch of customizing, but at $40-60K each, I’d say they’re worth the extra effort. Now all I need is a lake lot!
So, there you have it, 7 wishes: some big, some little. My last wish is for Laura and her husband to enjoy every second with the new baby. They are the greatest gift of all.

Hello Possums, Nancy here! I just popped over from
Wolf and Willow to say hello and spread a little sunshine on Lolalina. For your viewing pleasure, I’ve uncovered some cute and cheerful stationery from fine purveyors of paper goods,
Mitchell and Dent.
Oh yes, the luscious ladies Madame Mitchell and Madame Dent have been cooking up some finery, frippery and felicitous fare in the form of letterpress artwork, greeting cards and journals. I’m in love with the “Whether the Weather” series of prints with their beamy suns and cheeky clouds. Rainbows and unicorns, you say? Yes please!
Today, Daniella of Dress, Design & Decor is here to share some lovely inspiration in soft hues. Enjoy!

Creamy nudes, watercolour hues, and soft pastels seem to always be my favourite colours for the spring and summer season. Light and airy, with a slightly lived-in, cozy feel… the same shades are perfect for newborn nurseries and darling outfits in tiny little sizes. Colours like baby blues, barely-there pinks, buttery yellows, and slight off-whites are just right for light knits and cardigans, linen and micro-floral prints, terry cloth and cotton tees… from pretty fabrics in the baby’s room to lining your wardrobe with beautiful summer pieces, I just can’t get enough of these soft, summer hues!
Wishing Laura and her loved ones all the best as they soon welcome their newborn baby into the world, and happy to have helped out today, here on Lolalina!

Hello Lolalina readers! I’m the Maggie behind the design and lifestyle blog Maggie Rose (actually, I’m the Rose too – it’s my middle name!). I’m so honored to be here with you while Laura spends time with her new sweet babe.
I’ve been looking for an excuse to put up some bunting flags in our Seattle home, but just haven’t found the right spot. However, I’ve come up with LOTS of favorite banners on etsy, so maybe you would take one of these pretty little garlands home?
Fabric is fun:

Even dining room appropriate!

Told you I was a Seattle girl.

These are pretty in coordinated colors or in a rainbow.

Wedding, bedroom, nursery… the possibilities are endless for this sweet message.

Rainbow dots would make any party fun.

Bunting is better in groups :)

And the cuteness doesn’t have to stay home! Throw it in your bag and take it with you!

Thanks everyone! Feel free to come by Maggie Rose and say hello! And a big warm congratulations to Laura, hubby, and new baby!
