Good morning Monday! To start things off today, I have a sweet treat: Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, a small, handmade ice cream company that uses fresh, local ingredients to create amazing flavors like Backyard Mint and Brambleberry Crisp – yum! Based in Ohio, with two outposts in Tennessee as well, Jeni’s does mail order…but if you want to try your hand at it, you should pick up Jeni’s book. And whether or not you are into DIY ice cream, perhaps it will inspire you to throw your own ice cream social like the bash Jeni put together for a story in this month’s Better Homes and Gardens. Let’s take a peek at that now…
For this fun, kitchen-based party, the Jeni’s crew decorated with colorful buntings, lemon-yellow Tolix stools, and lots of handcrafted ice cream.
Isn’t the chalkboard sandwich sign adorable? And the faded “Polaroids” on the wall? Now I’m not sure, but it looks to me like they might have used these instant photo frame decals from Photojojo. However it was accomplished, I adore the look, it fits in perfectly with the vintagey feel of the party.
After a full weekend I am so pleased to meet this fresh new week of summer, because I have tons of material stored up to share with you :) This week you can look forward to some lovely interiors, a color story, and later today, Bixby’s monthly photo. Happy new week, friends!! xoxo Laura
