Based in Australia (don’t worry, they ship worldwide!), sang the bird features a tightly edited collection of handmade goodies for your home as well as accessories, all crafted with love, using environmentally sound practices.

Tea towels, cushion covers and zippered purses, all done in fresh prints, are some of the lovelies to be found in the shop. I have my eye on the fabric buckets – wouldn’t they be perfect for keeping a knitting project together?

I see blog ads as a way to connect creative, independent businesses with those who are looking for fresh, unique shops to explore…a win-win, in my book! I had the pleasure of meeting shop owner Cindy at the lunch I attended in Boston a while back, and she is really warm and genuine. Cindy creates beautiful quilted Moleskine notebooks as well as travel bags for your shoes and laundry.

I would love a set of travel bags in Amy Butler fabric to keep in my suitcase! And her little notebooks are so pretty – couldn’t you see them being sold at Anthropologie? I think they would make wonderful little gifts as well, perfect for tucking into a package or stocking. Hello friends! With October winding down, the holidays will soon be upon us…hard to believe, right? But oh goodness, it’s true.
