Happy new year my dears! I don’t know about you, but I love and crave the fresh start of a new year, a blank calendar page (I’m getting this one – so pretty!), and the whole year spread out ahead of us to be filled with whatever we choose. Of course we cannot choose everything that happens in our lives, but the start of a new year is a great chance to sit back and look at the big picture in a way that we do not always make time for.
I love making lists and writing in journals, so as soon as I saw it, I had to download this workbook from Susannah Conway. And then of course I had to spring for a cute new journal to celebrate the new year and give me some extra room to write and dream. : ) I sat down on new year’s eve, and again for a bit on new year’s day with my workbook, journal, mug of hot tea, candles lit, and lights turned low, and mapped out a great many plans for 2013. This year I am not making typical “resolutions”, but instead focusing on a few bigger-picture goals that are very dear to my heart. What about you? I’m working up to a polar bear plunge. I showed up at Cayucos Beach on the California Central Coast for the 12 noon plunge into the ocean on January 1, 2013. It was lots of fun. Many people wore cute costumes; tons of tutus were on display. One couple got married right before the mad dash into the surf. Next year!
