The weekend is here, hooray hooray! I have home projects on the brain big time, so you can expect a bunch of room schemes, makeover inspirations and plans in the upcoming weeks. Although we can’t do everything I want to right now (and I admit, my list is ridiculously long), I know it helps to have a plan to avoid missteps and costly mistakes. So instead of spending actual money, I will be “spending” virtual money with a plethora of mood boards and wish lists. Ha! Take that, bank account! For today, I have a few of the things at the top of my inspiration board to share with you – these are things that have been lifting my mood each time I glance at them, and I hope they do the same for you.
First up are these fresh pillows from Caitlin Wilson Textiles…aren’t they yummy? I am wild about Caitlin’s work (I wrote about her recently here), and her fabrics and pillows are sending me over the moon! When I am ready to treat myself to new pillows, hers are definitely coming home with me.
And couldn’t you just see an armful of those fun, printed pillows thrown onto a white daybed in the room above? Those wide yellow and white stripes look so incredibly cheerful! You can read more about the project right here – I think this would be a great way to camouflage less-than-perfect floors for less than it costs to refinish.
Erin Loechner of Design For Mankind (who just had her baby, congratulations Erin!!!) recently finished making over her sunroom, shown above. It looks pretty amazing, don’t you agree? I especially love the layers of texture, from the seagrass floor cushions to the plush rug and fluffy throws and pillows. But. I would be tempted to add…wait for it…more Caitlin Wilson pillows!
I could easily see adding a few of these coral and gray pillows from Caitlin Wilson Textiles to Erin’s room, especially in the summer when I tend to crave more bright, clear colors. What about you? Do you like a cool, all-neutral room, or do you need a pop of color here and there?
Oh, but then again, it looks pretty perfect like this. ;) I would looove to take my morning coffee to that window seat, and have brekkie at the little round table, all with the sunshine streaming in through those gigantic windows! I hope you enjoy your weekend immensely, friends!! xo Laura
