Happy almost-Fourth, friends! Will you be doing anything special? We’ve been taking in lots of beach days, plus I got to see this the other day (it was so good!), and taking cold beverages into the backyard to watch the chickens each afternoon…life is good! :) This morning I was reading through the latest issue of Matchbook Magazine and I was stopped dead in my tracks when I got to this image below; I instantly knew I needed to share it here. You know how there are certain color combinations that get you every single time? For me it is this particular shade of aqua blue paired with gold + a little pink. Just look:
Swoon! I am dying to know what the paint color is, so if I find out I’ll update this post. The room here is part of interior designer Caitlin Wilson’s home tour, with gorgeous photography by Courtney Apple.
That’s Caitlin above – she is so darling! She has a lovely blog, too. And two little ones, and runs her business from home (and has the best clothes). And Caitlin designed all of the fabrics on the cushions you see here. Wow, right?
I am completely charmed by all of the little details around Caitlin’s home, from those “je ne sais quoi” cards to the sweet lineup of girl shoes in her daughter’s room, the pink sofa (!) and monogrammed bed linens.
You can read the inspiring interview with Caitlin in this month’s Matchbook Magazine, and visit her website to see more of her professional work. Honestly though, I can’t stop looking at that aqua art wall, it’s making me seriously consider getting out the paint chips again!
Enjoy the Fourth of July holiday, my dears, and I will see you back here on Thursday…hopefully with some photos from Bixby’s second birthday! xoxo Laura
