If you like happy rooms with plenty of pink, fresh white, and crisp springy, summery blues and greens, you will love decorator Krista Ewart. You may recognize her work from this gorgeous beach cottage in House Beautiful as well as several features for domino, back when they were in business. I have been really craving pops of pink in my house for a while now, and Krista’s work is exactly the sort of thing I have in mind. Let’s have a peek, shall we?
Pink printed tablecloths and seat cushions are such an easy + fun way to add color to a white interior – or patio, as the case may be. Specifically, I adore that Mexican textile used on the dining table in the top picture, and the pink dot print on the patio cushions, which is from Hable Construction. And my goodness, those chairs! I have a major weakness for chairs – if I had the cash, I think I would find it hard to resist scooping up pretty, sculptural chairs like these whenever I saw them. :)
Oh, and then there is the pink Smeg fridge in the kitchen, scallop trimmed counters, and oversize pink “Keep Calm” print on the wall – how could you not have fun cooking and entertaining in a kitchen like this?
The petite bathroom is made special with dotted wallpaper, curvy mirror, and a big stack of fluffy white towels – trimmed in pink, of course. :) And did you notice what is holding the flowers on the sink? It’s a little ceramic snail, how cute is that?
I always loved that photo of the dog sculpture wearing a fedora in Domino – do you remember that one? So funny; if I ever have a big sculpture, I am definitely giving it a hat! ;) There are plenty more photos to drool over in Krista’s portfolio right here, and read up on the bungalow featured in many of these photos (shot by Victoria Pearson) on House Beautiful.
Enjoy the rest of your day, my dears! xo Laura

The kitchen and bathroom are so fun! I love that pink fridge!
I especially love the living room with the green and white sofa and rug. The whole look reminds me of the fauve painters — Matisse, Gauguin, etc. Beautiful!
