Happy Friday! Have any fun plans this weekend? We are going to be painting our chicken coop (I’ll share pics of our progress next week) and getting ready to move the chicks outside. Thankfully, the Buff Brahma has recovered from her mysterious ailment, and they all seem to be doing well. Moving on to the topic today, I’ve found myself drawn to interiors with hits of pink, as well as a few small apartments with excellent use of space. I hope you are ready for a big dose of interior inspiration! :)
First up is Cassandra’s apartment, featured in Rue this month. I completely fell for this little vignette over the dresser in her bedroom – the black, white, and gold is such a chic color scheme, don’t you agree? I adore the artwork, and that hat made me smile. Cassandra’s apartment is small but doesn’t look it, and I think we could all take away a few style lessons from her!
Next, this coffee table styling feature from The Everygirl was really fun. Did you see it? I loved the “feminine elegance” arrangement, shown above, and this “color splash” combo is awesome too:
In fact, these are two of my favorite options for coffee tables; a pair of small square tables, or a Lucite version with rounded edges. I’m curious: which look do you like best?
Also found on The Everygirl, was this adorable tiny apartment belonging to Caitlin Brown. An editorial assistant on The Everygirl and new intern at Jess LC, Caitlin has managed to pull together an amazingly chic space on a college student’s budget. I love the little shelf of dishes and things with the one saucepan hanging on the wall, how cute is that? This space is a great reminder that vision is so much more important than cash when decorating.
And back to Cassandra’s apartment again, featured in Rue, another cute kitchen arrangement for a small apartment. I am completely gaga for the gray/gold/white/teal/salmon color palette here, it looks amazing. Shelving like this can look so messy, but here it is totally chic, thanks in great part to the tight color palette.
For a spring/summer update with a pop of pink, we head to Photographer Jo Metson Scott’s home featured on Design Sponge. I really like the idea of adding an interesting rug to the entryway and displaying colorful sarongs and straw hats – such a happy touch!
Last up is this cool sitting area in Rym’s home, also featured on Design Sponge. I am kind of obsessed with those cheapo paper lanterns – I am thinking of putting a really giant one in our bedroom. It reminds me of a big moon!
I’d love to hear which was your favorite space – please share in the comments section. And have a great weekend! xo Laura

Great post – I am definitely a pink lover! I especially love those images from The Evergirl – gold and pink is one of my favorite combinations!
