Shanna Murray, Artist & Optimist

Good morning my friends! So sorry about the light posts last week, I’ve been out there in the non-online world working on a few fun projects that I will be sharing with you here soon. I spent the weekend getting myself more organized, too, so I have very high hopes for this week! I even got tonight’s dinner prepped so all I have to do is throw it in the oven tonight. : ) Speaking of high hopes and optimism, I recently popped by Shanna Murray’s online store to see what she has been up to recently, and I was delighted with what I found. Want to see?

First of all, there are some new garlands and tidings in the shop, which are always a big hit. I haven’t ordered one, but every time I see them I give myself a big slap on the forehead and say, My God, woman, why haven’t you just bought one yet? Honestly, I don’t know why – maybe it’s some sort of self-inflicted torture, depriving myself of something so cheerful and also so affordable. I mean really. And then, as if the wall decals aren’t enough to sway you, there is her new collaboration with the lovely Herriott Grace. A pure, creamy white linen tea towel with screen printed flags. Swoon! But do you know what I really, really want? This:

Oh yes. I think this would instantly become my favorite cup for tea. It’s that wonderfully smooth-yet-organic feeling hand-thrown porcelain that Pigeon Toe Ceramics is known for. I could use it during what has become a daily ritual of afternoon tea with this little fellow: (If you are reading this via an email subscription, you might have to click on the link below to view the (very short) video.)

Shanna Murray describes herself as an “artist & optimist” and I love that about her, don’t you? You can see all of Shanna’s current offerings in her shop, and get a further peek into her world on her delightful blog. Have a great Monday, and I will see you back here tomorrow! xo Laura
