I am still very much recovering from a bad cold today, but before I go back into hibernation I thought I would share a few lovely interiors that have been inspiring me lately. They all come from gorgeous Swedish real estate firm Alvhem, if you are not familiar you must pay them a visit – if only to drool!
I love the idea of white floors in winter (oh, have I mentioned that?), they reflect the light so nicely, don’t you agree? I am still considering painting my own floors, but if so it will have to wait until next year. Yes, white floors and furry rugs, a fire roaring in a wood stove, and a pot of tea on the coffee table, these are a few of the things I am craving.
More ideas for winter decorating: woodsy wallpaper in your front hall, a pair of favorite boots out on display, furry throws draped everywhere, reposition your desk in a corner for a new view.
And who doesn’t love an artful stack of firewood? Although I think if that were in my home, Bixby would try to climb it for sure. : )
I was so pleased to find the image above on the Alvhem site. I had come across it elsewhere, but without a source (so frustrating!) – but now I can share it here. : ) I just think that cushy leather chair looks so inviting. I want to curl up in it with a good book all afternoon, sigh.
