Fresh Site Badges + Blogroll Roll-Call

Hello friends! Last night I whipped up a fresh batch of site badges in a variety of sizes, they are all available to you below if you want to grab one for your blog. The badge sizes are 160×160, 110×110, 120×60, and 160×40 – I hope one of these sizes will work for you if you choose to display one! To use a badge, simply save the image of the badge of your choice to your desktop (drag and drop or right click and save), place it on your site, and link it to http://www.lolalina.com/. That’s it, easy-peasy! :)

Over the next few weeks I will be updating my blogroll – I realized that there are some sites listed there I either no longer read, have moved, or are simply so big that I figure all of you know them! And then there are many more blogs I have become completely addicted to in the past months yet have neglected to add to my blogroll, and I would really like to spread the love and share all of the sites I visit daily. I don’t know about you, but when I find a blog that clicks with me, I always search for their blogroll and check out a few links – and I love it when I stumble upon an inspiring new site (or three or four) this way.

I want to put a question to you: What would you like to see in a blogroll? Are you a visual person, i.e., are you drawn to blogrolls made up of badges rather than just links? Would it be useful to you to have the blogs grouped into categories – design blogs, foodie blogs, etc.? I would love to hear your input on this before I dive in and make any changes, because this is really for you! Of course I would be extremely flattered if you decide to show your love of Lolalina on your own blog with a badge or by including a link in your blogroll, and if you have already added Lolalina to your blogroll, please let me know! Sometimes if I am not already a reader of your blog I may not be aware that you linked here, and I would love to come visit and see what your blog is all about :) Just keep in mind that I link to sites I have been reading and enjoying on a daily or weekly basis for at least a few months before they make their way onto my blogroll.

Anyway, thank you so much for bearing with me through the recent design changes, and for all of your kind words on the new look. I am so new at this, I am still learning and figuring things out as I go, and I actually feel really nervous putting anything I have created out there for all to see. There are still about a million little things I want to change/add to the site, but I have had to take a deep breath and accept that I need to go at my own pace. Over the next two months I hope to finish up the design – and make a few surprise treats for you, too!

Have a great day, dearies! xoxo Laura

Hi there. I like it when blogs are grouped by categories (i.e. home design, graphic design, art, parenting, etc.). Sometimes that’s hard because a lot of blogs blend different subjects. Anyway, I like your blog and the new clean design. Thanks.

I just found you from your fabulous article on houzz (kid prints)
Love you style – and consider yourself ” fully followed”!
I see one of your pinterest boards is “prefabulous”- we are in the process of building a prefab house! Please check out my style ( and kid art!) at Drooz.com

Hi Laura, those buttons are really cute – and reflect your blog design very well. I also love discovering new blogs but have had to reign in a little because I simply don’t have the time to actively follow a hundred blogs – on top of writing my own posts. My limit currently is around 20 that I follow actively and comment on regularly. That does’t mean that I don’t get excited about discovering new blogs. I would love to know how many blogs you actively follow.
I have also noticed that I tend to comment more on smaller/personal blogs than the big ones like decor8, design*sponge or desire to inspire. Hope you have a great weekend. p.s. I have you on my blogroll as you’ve been one of the blogs I read daily :-) N.

Thank you so much, Nina! To answer your question, I would say there are about 5 blogs I read (more like devour!) daily, another 20 or so that I read nearly every day, and about 100 that I look at a few times each month, kind of randomly. That 100+ number is usually in flux, with new blogs being added and others removed from my reader when I find I am not drawn to it as much, many of the 100+ blogs on my list I read just to stay current with what is going on and sometimes source ideas for future posts, interviews, etc. The 20-25 blogs I love and look forward to reading each week are the ones that most consistently inspire me, and they are the ones that I will include on my blogroll.
Hope you are having a lovely day! xoxo Laura

Hi there! I could have sworn I’ve visited your blog before but after looking at some of the posts I realized it’s new to me.
Anyhow, I’m certainly pleased I discovered it and I’ll be book-marking it and
    checking back frequently!
