Washi tape, or Japanese masking tape, seems to have endless crafty and decorative uses, doesn’t it? I’ve used mine to decorate envelopes and gift wrap, tape up photos to the wall, display on inspiration boards, create tiny pennant flags, and decorate the border of my white picture frames, to name a few – but I am always on the lookout for new ways with this favorite craft material. I recently discovered Lena’s beautiful blog from Norway, called KonfettiForm, and I was struck by the many creative uses she has found for this little obsession so many of us share. Let’s take a look at a few of my favorite ideas from Lena:
+ Use neatly trimmed pieces to create pretty personalized labels for your journals, binders or file folders.
+ Tear off small pieces to use as page flags, folding the tip back on itself so the bit that hangs over the edge is not sticky.
+ Create glass markers for your next party by wrapping a piece of washi tape around the stem of each wineglass, trimming a notch in the edge to create a pennant look, and using a marker to label.

I need to get me some more washi tape, love it so much. And I adore the glass markers idea, would look so good on a table for a party!

I’m slightly obsessed with this stuff! I use it in my daily planners & to do lists to add a little whimsy in my life. I also even saw a post where someone created table numbers for their wedding guests using washi tape! Thanks for sharing :)
