Hallo! I think you will really enjoy today’s home tour from Dutch blogger Iris of Irideeën, it is full of the kind of personal, creative details that make me swoon… :)
On her tiny balcony Iris has created a welcoming spot for tea + talk with a friend or simply sitting quietly to enjoy a stack of fresh magazines. What do you think of the blank pink picture frame Iris chose to mount above the sofa? Yes or no? Would you try that at home? I’m not always a big fan of the blank frame, but I think it plays very nicely with the whimsical mood of this little nook.
Continuing on to the kitchen, I am quite taken with her range, open shelving, and teacups and things in soft pastel shades. Sometimes it’s the smallest detail that makes all the difference, don’t you think? This kitchen could feel cold and plain with everything black, white, and stainless steel, but the personal touches bring a sense of warmth and femininity.
Iris is also a Mama, and I love how she has used this giant board in her hallway as a rotating, layered display of her children’s artwork. Some are drawings and paintings, mixed with little sculptures and collections from nature – lovely! :)
To find out more about Iris, go visit her blog Irideeën, and don’t be scared off by the notoriously confusing Dutch language – Iris has thoughtfully placed a “translate” button right on her site! xoxo Laura

What a sweet home!
I love all the hints of pink!
This is just beautiful! I love this home. I hope you don’t mind me pinning some of these pics to my pinterest board for inspiration. xx
Thank you for this lovely post and your kind words, it made my day!
By the way, in all of my recent posts there is an English text included, so no need to use the translate-button there…

So many lovely ideas to steal for my home! I adore the teacups and teapot! I never thought about hanging a blank picture frame, but I think the fact that it’s pink makes it more arty and just plain cute. :)
I LOVE it….so warm and welcoming and lovely. Thanks for sharing this beautiful space hunnie & introducing me to her blog! Off to check it all out! :)

Hi! I would like to link a picture of your idea for children’s art on my blog. I am writing a post about what to do with all of your kid’s masterpieces. I will be posting it for the parents at my school (K-6) to see. I would of course, link back to your blog.
Great! So happy to hear you enjoyed it enough to share :) xo Laura
