Are you ready to welcome another summer weekend? What are you up to? I would love to hear! I am going to be a busy little bee, swimming, visiting with Bixby’s Great Grandma, hitting our local farmer’s market and craft fair, out to dinner at one of my favorite places, and (drumroll, please…) hopefully finishing up my blog redesign in time for a big reveal on Monday! I wish I could show you what I have been working on, but it’s fun keeping it a surprise, too…I hope you like it! :)
Before I head off to start my own weekend and we part ways, I wanted to show you this absolutely joyful home that I spied in the current issue of Covet Garden – did you see it? It is the home of Vicki and her two daughters, Lily and Piper, pictured above. It is just bursting with love and creativity, and it is really speaking to the carefree mood I am drawn to in the summer. Nothing too precious or over thought, but a collection of well-loved and treasured items, and a place to nurture and support a vibrant family life.
The “beach house” is a cleared-out garage used for summer dinner parties and sleepovers, the kitchen walls are covered in blackboard paint, and everywhere are little handmade touches like buntings and garlands and the girls’ art prominently displayed.

So, that is all for now…but even though I will be signing off here, I have my work cut out for me fitting together all of the last little bits and details of the new-and-improved Lolalina site!
