Good morning dear ones! I am excited today because Bixby’s “Nana” is visiting, so today we will be planning all sorts of fun things to do during her visit :) In the meantime, I wanted to share some gorgeous photos from one of my favorite wedding sites, Style Me Pretty. My own wedding in ’05 was a mostly DIY affair, and I had such fun planning every little detail. In fact, I still get kind of bummed out that I don’t have a reason to pick up Martha Stewart Weddings anymore! lol. To satisfy my cravings, I pulled some of my favorite images of wedding details with a casual, offhand sort of elegance. Let’s take a look, I think you will find that many of these ideas easily translate to everyday decorating and casual parties…

I love that first image, what a creative use for a wood slice! Jam jars, plain linen table cloths, eating outdoors, faded floral dishes, tiny vases of tulips cut short, single blooms in jars and bottles, writing on vintage windowpanes, repurposing wood as planters…these wedding details have my creative wheels turning, what about you?

I really like the simplicity and how the wood adds to the table setting,,,in the first pic…but i really hope that it’s going to be reused somehow maybe even as a giveaway after the wedding b/c that’s a lot of wood for one wedding to go to waste :/

I think it’s beautiful too, Leeanna! I’m just guessing, but if it were my wedding I would keep the wood slab and use it as part of my regular table setting at home, or even placed on my coffee table with a few candles :)

:) I think that it would make a great trivet…whatever they call those things that you put under hot pots not to ruin the table.
leeanna´s last [type] ..Q&A- I need an outdoor security camera system- capable of shooting in total darkness- that can…
