Bon Weekend!

in The Sweet Life

Happy weekend, blog friends! How did this week go for you? The weeks are just flying by for me; there are so many things I want to do in the little pockets of time I have between holding/nursing/changing/singing to/gazing at my sweet little one. In a way though, the time constraints have helped me focus: when I know I only have twenty minutes to work on something, I am much better at getting right down to business! Do you know what I mean?

I am trying to focus on the things I find most rewarding, important, and pleasurable: reading books I love and magazines that inspire (such as this gorgeous one, which I just subscribed to – yay!), blogging, hanging out with my baby in bed, taking nature walks, attending my web design class on Monday nights, and keeping in touch with close friends and family. And while my home may never look as clean and clutter-free as this Paris loft featured in Milk Magazine, I do set my own (imperfect) standards for cleaning and decluttering so that I don’t go nuts and I can actually enjoy being in my home.

What about you? How are you able to find balance in your life? Any secrets to share? If so, I would love to hear them! ;) And what do you think of this little child-friendly entryway above? I love the stack of French children’s books, paper suitcases, and pink hooks – so cute.

Have a fabulous weekend!

I know exactly what you mean.
Today was the first time my little daughter skiped her nap. I couldn´t believe it!!! She is having some sleeping problems after our holidays and today she just kept going and moving and dancing, and eating, and crying… UF! I´m sooo tired!
I need some time for myself.
Have a nice weekend!

Balance?? I just quit trying. Some days I have it, other days, my life is consumed by one thing or the other. But, when I look at the big picture, I can see balance. It’s not there every day, but it is there over the long haul.

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy those baby cuddles!!

I wish I could say my life was balanced, but sometimes combining two blogs, studying journalism and renovating a house is hard to manage. On top of that I always find myself wasting time on things like watching stupid shows on TV, reading in magazines that don’t really interest me, etc. But I do try to impove, and you are a real inspiration ;) love your blog!
