Happy weekend, friends! I am still (barely) getting the hang of this mothering thing, so please excuse the light posts this week. How are you doing? Are you taking time out to enjoy the season? The heat wave has finally broken here, so I am really looking forward to getting out of the house this weekend! As usual, there is so much goodness around the web that I had no trouble rounding up seven sweet things to share with you this afternoon…

1. A porcelain ice cream cone that can contain your treasures :) From KG + AB.

2. Just…WOW, right? Creative tree branches via Lady Ann de Borja.

3. I would love to crawl into the bed in this beach house and take a deliciously long nap.

4. Because there is no such thing as too much cute Japanese masking tape; from Nothing Elegant.

5. Newspaper as wall treatment? Why not! Via Apartment Therapy.

6. I want to make one of these charming little seat cushions using the DIY sewing kit from Alicia Paulson.

7. Adorable berry basket favors and feed sack cocktail napkins from A Field Journal, perfect for a midsummer party.
I hope each of you has a splendid weekend and be sure to take a little time-out just for you, to do something that makes you feel good or pursue a dream that is close to your heart. Happy Friday!!!

I’ve been inspired by Nicole’s adorable monthly photo series as well as an activity in this book (which would make a fantastic gift for any new mama, btw) to begin taking a photo of Bixby each month in the same spot in our home. Here is month one:

I honestly can’t believe a month has passed so quickly! Bixby James, you are looking more handsome than ever my sweet one!
(I will be taking a photo of Bixby in the white armchair with his lambie each month until his second birthday)

Okay, so I have a new mini-obsession with artist Laura Amiss – and by that I mean I am suddenly finding myself overcome by the urge to purchase everything in her shop and line my walls with her prints and textile art.

I am so in love with the colors she has chosen for these pieces, the cute European scenes (Laura is from England, but is currently based in Amsterdam), and the way the houses pop against the crisp white background. Like to see more?

Isn’t she adorable?

Or what about a textile canvas like this one of the Latin Quarter in Paris?

Or an Amsterdam bridge?

I could imagine hanging any one of these in my home! What do you think? Which is your favorite?

It’s the weekend! Hooray!! I am super excited because my sweetie just surprised me by coming home early, and we are planning on taking a nice drive down to the beach tomorrow :) Before I go to enjoy the rest of the afternoon, I have seven sweet finds to share with you – are you ready?

1. I am a huge fan of everything by inaluxe! Such sweet prints.

2. Jasna Janekovic’s apartment is full of inspiration, like this little collection and this cozy spot on the balcony.

3. I recently stumbled onto the blog of Brooklyn-based catering duo The Jewels of New York, and I’ve been drooling over their recipes (like the pickled ramps and breakfast tart pictured above) all morning – yum!

4. I adore this idea for attractively displaying your longboards; from Chez Larsson.

5. Aren’t these mouse pads from Shim + Sons handsome?

6. I love this idea for displaying a treasured family photograph; from decor8.

7. And finally, a charming necklace containing a miniature collection of butterflies; from Woodland Belle.
That’s all for this week, friends! Have a lovely weekend!!

Happy almost-Friday! How is your week going so far? Are you ready for a little pick-me-up? Well, I think I have just the thing to go with your afternoon tea break: gorgeous hand-dyed, hand-stitched blooms and a brand-new clothing line from EmersonMade!

Are you already in-the-know? Emerson and her husband Ryan (that’s those two cuties above) create and ship all of the goods from their farm – now if that’s not the sweet life, I don’t know what is!

EmersonMade is known for lovely handmade flowers fashioned into garlands, necklaces, sashes and hair pins, like the ones above and below…

…and adorable little clutches and “bouquets” of blooms to give your friends…

But I am really excited about the new clothing line EmersonMade has recently unveiled! Available for pre-order now, the collection is filled with the kind of classic pieces that will be in heavy rotation in your wardrobe for many happy years!

I am dying to have this 60′s style tweed jacket, and a big bloom that Carrie Bradshaw would love is pretty tempting as well! Ah, but then there is this wonderfully rustic table runner that would look magnificent on my dining room table…

What’s making your wish list? Visit EmersonMade to see (and drool over) it all.
