Relaxed + Colorful Home of Deborah Lloyd

Guess what I was reading over the weekend with my morning coffee? The new issue of Lonny! While I wish I could hold the magazine in my hot little hands and flip through the glossy pages, I still appreciate the e-mag experience for what it is. So moving along to what I wanted to share today, one of my favorite articles in the June/July 2010 issue is the upstate New York home of Kate Spade co-president and creative director Deborah Lloyd. Ready for some eye candy?

Fresh, bright, cheerful and easy – I feel like I could step right into Deborah’s home, fix myself a cup of tea and settle in for the summer, don’t you? The white slipcovered furniture, hits of hot pink and fun accents like the British flags that appear throughout her home (Deborah was raised in England) strike just the right notes for me.

And that bathroom? Heaven! What I wouldn’t give for a big old claw-foot tub! And notice the slim shelves above the tub? They are lined with apothecary jars filled with Deborah’s collections of seashells and sea glass – so charming :)

This home is so inspiring to me because it is filled with little touches that are big on charm and easy on the wallet – like lining the front steps with pots of red geraniums, hanging vintage botanical prints on the walls, and tying back the curtains with thick grosgrain ribbon.

To see more of Deborah’s home go to Lonny and check out the full article – and really, you won’t want to miss anything in the issue. It is delectable from cover to cover!

Happy Monday, all!!

I came across your blog/website via Images of Bryce Canyon after googling Bryce Canyon. Your photograph stood out among all of them.
You are a very talented photographer and ready for any magazine to swoop in and grab your talent.
