Searching For A Bedroom Look – Your Thoughts?

Oh my, where has the day gone? So sorry to be running late, but I promise you, now that I am ready there is plenty of gorgeousness to feast your eyes on today! I am on the hunt for a new look for my bedroom – okay, let’s be honest here, I am searching for a look for my bedroom, period! I currently have a plain duvet (with no cover), mismatched sheets (and not in a purposefully-mismatched sort of way), and zero art on the walls. It is blah. Bo-ring. The walls are bright lime green at the moment, but we will soon be repainting them soft lavender – a shade called hydrangea from Serena & Lily, if you would like to take a look :) Art will wait for another day, but for now I would like to share some of my favorite bedding finds with you, in case you are on the hunt, too!

Lovely lilac bedding from Serena & Lily – I think it’s nice to mix and match like this with a few subtle prints, a solid with some texture, and a large-scale print.

Organic summer leaf duvet from West Elm

Ruffled duvets from India Rose

This top image from Amy Butler makes me smile – the hot pink and tangerine are so cheery, and keeping the rest of the room simple and modern with a big paper lantern and white curtains really makes it work for me. And I love the pillowcase & cushion from Plover Organic below, they would be fun to mix in, don’t you think? Although for my own space, I am afraid this might be too much if we do end up going with hydrangea on the walls – what do you think? My instinct says this bedding would be best with white walls. Hm…

Detour! These two examples are not for me, per se, but I grabbed them because I love these for a boy’s room – so woodsy and refreshing, and not at all cartoony. The bear & fern sheets are from West Elm, and the bedding in the second image is from Serena & Lily, here.

Crisp celery green and pale lilac-tinged pink from Amy Butler looks so lovely together, it just screams spring and summertime to me! I think that has to be one of my favorite looks…but oh, it is hard to decide! Which are your favorites so far? And then there is this gorgeous set by DwellStudio for Target – I saw it in the store the other day and almost scooped it up right there it was so pretty (and affordable)! I am thinking of getting a set in lemon & gray for the guest bed. The subtle print on this Moroccan Tile sheet set from Anthropologie would go well with almost anything.

And finally, a sampling of cool, watery blues and greens – clockwise from the top, we have the Marina collection from Serena & Lily, bedding by Plover Organic, and the shadow play sheet set from Anthropologie.

There are still a few other small items I would like to add to my bedroom, such as artwork and a few pretty trays to hold my makeup and jewelry, but I know that once I have my bed made in fresh bedding I will feel so much better about the space. So…which are your favs? I am having such a hard time choosing!

What a lovely paint colour! I definitely like the first option of lavender, white, and creams… but that’s just me! I love lots of white.

Ooh, I like lots of white too, Daniella! And those would probably go best with the paint color I am thinking of :)

ooh these are fun! I love anything with ruffles and crisp colors. Personally, I love bedrooms that incorporate a muted color palate, but with lots of different textures…

your bedroom sounds like ours exactly! i’d have a hard time choosing from the above. i love them all, though i suspect the mr wouldn’t be too keen on the ruffles. :-)

Hello again!
I love the green and pink. Our bedroom is pale lila and it has a beautiful sea painting in three pieces, very modern and relaxing.
Your walls need a floral watercolor. Once you´ve picked the colours of your bed, sheets and walls, I can design a watercolor painting for you.
Yesterday my husband told me that he wants to change the deco of our living room, it´s so hard when you have no space and a little one year old around with all her toys and stuff!!!

I’m such a sucker for bedding – I could have new bedding all the time I swear! (if only it weren’t so expensive :)! I love the yellow and grey set from dwell- i was eyeing it myself! it just seems so fun for spring. You’ve picked out great choices though…it’s always so hard to decide, isn’t it?!
