in Sweet Obsessions

Whew! It is Friday, and my trip is almost at an end, we return home on Monday…but first, my friends and family are throwing me a baby shower tomorrow and we have a day trip planned to visit all of our favorite spots in Santa Cruz today, so it’s not over till it’s over! Today I have some yummy things to share with you, including a gorgeous Swedish home, delectable muffins, Parisian chic, an interior designer’s blog, and more. Are you ready?

1. These cheerful girls in vibrant dresses made me smile! Via Coco + Kelley.

2. Have you seen An Education? That’s where half of these photos came from. The other half were taken by the wonderfully inspiring Nichole of Little Brown Pen, and I put them all together because I am dreaming of Paris, and of red geraniums in window boxes and scooters parked outside of cafes and romance and really good cheese and bread! Sigh. Someday I will go back.

3. I adore everything about this Swedish home, featured on Desire to Inspire, from the fresh white walls to the little black black dress hung on the closet door.

4. Do you follow Discover: Interior Design? It is a gorgeous blog written by designer Kristin, and one feature of hers that I especially love is called Design Jargon, where Kristin demystifies lots of big, fancy-sounding design words, like escritoire, an example of which is pictured above.

5. And how about a little something to tuck into the drawer of your escritoire? I like the crisp lines on these Ruler Notebooks from Bailey Doesn’t Bark.

6. I know, I know, the time for outdoor dinner parties is still a long way off, but can’t we just drool a bit? I like the low flower arrangements – the better to see across the table! And those birdcages, oh my! What a whimsical touch :) Via The Style Files.

7. And if you happen to be looking for a way to pass the time this weekend, why don’t you try whipping up a batch of these scrumptious looking blueberry muffins from Tiina of Sparkling Ink? They look ridiculously good, no?

We have reached the end – and I have almost reached the end of my trip! I will be getting home on Monday, but as I am sure I will need the rest, I am going to take Monday off, so I will see you back here on Tuesday! Have a lovely weekend, friends, and thank you for choosing to spend a few moments here with me this week!

An Education was such a fantastic movie. Besides the story line and acting, the clothes were gorgeous and the cinematography was well-planned. It was a lovely movie and I’d re-watch it any day.

I’m dreaming about a quick get away in Paris too. I saw ‘An Education’ a few weeks ago, and really liked the atmosphere of it and the simple but deep story. And thank you also for featuring the muffins – so sweet of you!
