I am thinking of the clear, cool light of summer as it falls in northern countries. Of places like Sweden and Finland, where summer is glorious but short – where you must learn to draw every drop of sweetness and light close to your chest and treasure it. I want to be in a big country cottage with whitewashed floors and wildflowers, and barefoot children stuffing themselves with strawberries still warm from the garden sun. Care to join me?
