I absolutely adore all of your comments on pink walls, I feel so encouraged and excited! Are you ready for more pink? Today I have rounded up a collection of photos (all are from Living Etc.) of gorgeous rooms using pink as an accent color, which – oh, just shoot me – I also love! But can I have soft pink walls and pink accents in the same room? What if the walls are just the faintest hint of pink? Oh dear. Well, let’s look at the photos and then I would love it if you would weigh in with your thoughts at the end. Only 30 days to go till we move into our first house!!!
This is one of my favorite spaces – the black and white feels very crisp, but the little bits of pink and deep raspberry are just enough to make it feel feminine and inviting. And oh my goodness, what I wouldn’t give to have a giant etched mirror like the one propped against their wall! Gorgeous!!
I am really drawn to modern Moroccan/Indian rooms like the one above: white and silver, rosy pink and deep fuchsia, exotic treasures collected from around the world… Somehow I don’t think my main living space will end up looking like this! But one day, I would love to have a little room like this with white floors and gorgeous light, where I can sip tea and listen to music.
Okay, so this room is a little much. I know. A chartreuse table with milk chocolate brown walls and a raspberry chair? I probably wouldn’t do that in real life, but I wanted an example of pink living with darker, more saturated colors. I would like to turn the second bedroom in our new house (which is off the living/dining area) into a salon-style office, and I’m looking for a nice rich paint color that will look good with lots of art hung on the walls. Ideally, I could bring a few berry-pink accents into the room as well, to connect it with the living room.
Berry, magenta, fuchsia, mm… I do love those strong pinks as accents; but I don’t want to OD on pink! So, what do you think: yea or nay on the pink accents? Is it possible to use deeper pink accents in a room with pale pink walls? What other colors would you use? I would love to hear from you!

Oh my… I love pink! That little glass box on the coffee table in the first room is too cool! Is it holding mail and little stationery bits? Where can I find this? lol.

I love pink accents! I usually have a few (countered by teal accents in the living room).
Although the boyfriend and I are talking co-habitation, so I’m not sure how long the pink accents will last!

That Maroccan one is nice, in fact. Never thought about that possibility: Ethnic and pink. But I like the combination of raspberry and chocolate too, though. Really sophisticated, but daring! Like a great sweet dessert…

Enjoyed viewing your blogs. I love pink! I have it on the walls or as an accent color in almost every room in my house. In my bedroom, I have a soft pink color on the walls and in my office/guest room which is adjacent to my bedroom, I painted two walls the same pink as the bedroom and two walls in mocha. My office/guest room also has pink and brown accent pieces. In my dining room, I painted the walls white, but have pale pink drapes and a breakfront with pale pink china. And the list goes on…I would strongly suggest that you try the colors on the wall first because some pinks appear to chalky or like bubblegum or too much like a nursery. Good luck!
