Today I am inspired by the photography of Roland Bello ~ I couldn’t find an official bio, but I am pretty sure I recognize some of his work from Kate Spade campaigns, Domino Magazine and Martha Stewart, among others. What really drew me in were these shots below, depicting a lavish dinner party:
I love the layer upon layer of rich colors and textures, the happy clutter of food and china, and the gorgeous jewels. It makes me think of a fantastically decadent party in a gorgeous old mansion, where the hosts are relaxed and allow things to get mussed up a bit – children careening between the table legs, teenagers picnicking on the lawn in the moonlight, and the grownups playing twister after dinner in their party clothes. To see more of Roland Bello’s food photography, as well as interior, still life and fashion shots, check out his portfolio online.

I love this photographer. The balance of dark and light in his photos is perfect. The deep blues with the rich purples is really pleasing to the eye.
I think his photography is outstanding as well. I featured a few of his photos in my posts last month and sung very similar praises about his ability to capture rich and raw colours and textures. Great post!
