Zoe - I'd love to coach you! BTW, I'm offering a scholarship for 12 free weekly sessions from mid-July until September. If you want to apply, check out my blog at the end of the week or join my newsletter (http://eepurl.com/VWr). Details in today's edition! Or, if you REALLY wanna pay, just contact me & we can set something up :) So glad that my feedback was helpful to you!

Melissa - Love that you bookmarked the books! A review of The Renaissance Soul will be up on my blog in about 2 weeks. If you're itching for it sooner, email me (michelle@whenigrowupcoach.com) & I'll be happy to send you a copy of the newsletter that the review appeared in.

Michelle and Laura,
This is a great interview. I have been trying to read it for days, but everytime I got on line, I would get halfway through and get distracted. I'm glad I finally got to read it all. I bookmarked three of the books you recommended on my amazon wishlist. Thanks for the great dialogue and inspiration.

Michelle, I think you must be clairvoyant :) Thanks for your suggestions - general as they were! One question that I've been turning over is whether to send an application straight up, or whether to do the informational interview thing! I've been leaning towards the info questions, so I'll work on that angle. Thanks for actually replying to the question, and all the best with your life coaching venture: I'd pay for your advice ;)

Hi everyone - thanks for commenting! I really appreciated all of your feedback & kind words. Sorry I'm so late to the party - I forgot to subscribe to the comments! Oy vey.

Amy - From your mouth to you-know-who's ears! Honestly, I have to wait it out until I can buy an apartment this fall. For some reason, banks aren't too keen on giving mortgages out to life coaches right about now...

Karen - You're so sweet to come here! I don't have many "real" friends (not that my virtual friends aren't real, but you know what I mean) that follow my blog, so I really appreciate it :)

Zoe - How to get to where you know you want to go is really tricky to answer in a general way, because there are so many circumstances that make each situation different. But, on a more general note, I would try to network with anyone you know in that field, or anyone who knows anyone in that field. Find out what advice they have to offer, what makes up an exemplary candidate, whether you need additional schooling, etc. Really treat is as an informational interview. If they know of an opening they can recommend you for, great! If not, you can take that information & use it to tailor your resume &/or cover letter to that position so you can stand out from the crowd. Hope that helps!

Thanks again everyone! And in case anyone was wondering, Laura did release me & I now have to find my own tea & cupcakes. (Tear).

Great interview! And great questions too, Laura. I'd love to know what to do once you've decided on that new career - how to go about making it happen?! I know exactly where I want to go, I just keep stumbling at the "how to get there" bit! Any tips Michelle?

Thanks for this interview, I do love Michelle's blog, and it's true that's she's very funny and transmit easily her energy.
I have to admit that I'm completly lost and kind of bored those days, so I'm going to follow all the good advices given in this post.
Thanks again, I'll stop there again.
