I’ve just poured myself a cup of Moroccan mint tea. Would you like some? It just started raining, but it’s nice and cozy in here. Why don’t you stay until the rain lets up? I’ve got a stack of fun magazines to look at – you have to see this article in InStyle. It’s Olivia Wilde’s home. You know, she plays “Thirteen” on House? Oh my goodness, I could just move right in! Here, look:
I have a bit of a problem collecting books, but I don’t really think it’s a problem… I just need that bookcase :) And what a cool antique typewriter on the bottom shelf! I like how her bookcase feels subtly pulled together by the black accents, but isn’t over-styled.
Oh, how lovely would it be to have a special little spot like this one to take tea and visit with friends? And I want to steal that idea of filling lots of tiny pots with cacti and succulents and setting them on a shelf in the kitchen – it’s unexpected sitting right next to the fancy china cups. But wait – I’ve saved the best for last…
I think I could literally move into this closet. Look at that amazing dressing table! And the black chandelier, and her clothes – swoon! In the house we’ll be moving into later this summer there is hardly any closet space at all. But the room next to the master bedroom could maybe be a combination office/walk-in closet. What do you think? While I certainly won’t have Olivia Wilde’s budget, she has given me lots of ideas! Oh, look – the rain stopped. You’d better hurry before it starts up again.
